The obstetrics and gynecology department of HGOPY assures the management of patients in both obstetrics (pregnancy monitoring, delivery and diaper) and in gynecology (management of pathologies of the genital tract and breast).
In obstetrics, a sector of hospitalization allows the management of pathological pregnancies. The mother-child unit welcomes during their diaper the moms and their children. This unit benefits from the proximity of the neonatology department.
In gynecology, the service is supervised by the hospitalization service for a follow-up of proximity.
The Obstetrics and Pediatric Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of Yaoundé, in addition to its care mission, provides a teaching and research mission. You will be able to meet students (doctors, midwives, nurses, child care assistants) integrated into the team.
