REQUIREMENTS TO COMPLETE A SPERMOGRAM

  • PRESENTATION

Spermogram is an easy-to-perform exam that can provide effective information on male fertility. For the analysis to be reliable, the collection must be done in good conditions, preferably in the laboratory, and the analysis must be carried out in a structure accustomed to this type of sampling.

  • CONDITION

To perform a spermogram:

  1. 3 days minimum and 05 days maximum abstinence from (alcohol, tobacco, coffee, exciting, antibiotic, sexual intercourse)
  2. The sampling is done in the laboratory by masturbation. The patient may be accompanied by his partner.
  3. If the collection is made at home, it must reach the service within 30 minutes after collection.
  4. The exam is done every working day from Monday to Friday and the cost is 10 010 FCFA

REQUIREMENTS FOR PAP SMEARS 

  • PRESENTATION

Cervico-vaginal smear is an essential examination for gynecological monitoring. This simple gesture must be practiced at the beginning of the sexual activity, then at regular intervals. It is practiced either by a gynecologist or a general practitioner.

This examination makes it possible to detect certain inflammatory and tumoral diseases. It is usual to practice smears in the first year after the start of sex. Then the frequency is variable, with a spacing that ranges from one to three years depending on the ages of life and gynecological antecedents. It is one of the fundamentals of cervical cancer prevention.

  • CONDITION

To perform a cervico-vaginal swab:

  1. No sexual relation to the day before
  2. No egg
  3. No rules
  4. No intimate toilet
  5. The exam is done every working day from Monday to Friday and the cost is 7,500 FCFA

Realization of a cytopuncture

  • PRESENTATION

FNA is the recovery of cells using a needle introduced into an "abnormal" area.
The cells recovered during this act will then be analyzed by a cytologist who will say if there are abnormalities, and if they evoke a cancer.

Performing a biopsy

  • PRESENTATION

A biopsy is the surgical removal of a fragment of tissue or organ. It is carried out according to the cases, by a surgeon in the operating room or by a specialist doctor (in dermatology for example), in a medical office. The objective is then to study the nature and structure of the sample with a

microscopic examination or biochemical analysis.
it is practiced on the breast, liver, kidney, bone marrow, lung, uterus, bronchi, bladder, stomach, prostate, synovial membrane and even the eyelids or the tongue, ... the organs and tissues "targets" of a biopsy are many. This examination is generally indicated when the doctor wishes to benefit from an anatomopathological study to refine or establish a diagnosis. This is how the biopsy makes it possible to determine if this or that lesion taken from an organ is malignant or not. Or at a different stage, to follow its evolution or its extent. This examination is still often required to specify the result of a cytological examination. A biopsy-excision can also be performed. It consists of the total removal of a tumor, followed immediately by an anatomopathological examination.

  • CONDITION
    Parts are given in the operating room and must be preserved in formalin.
    The prices of the pieces are given in the laboratory and vary according to the size of the piece.
