It focuses on the diagnosis of lesions from their morphological aspect. Three key words: diagnosis, lesion, morphology. Specialists called "pathologists" have the responsibility to make a diagnosis and prognosis of disease, ie to analyze and determine the nature of the disease, from a sample of cells or tissue (eg, moles, surgical surgical parts, cervix smears, etc.).
